Bank’s Apothecary is pleased to announce that ALL Long-Acting Injectables (LAIs) will no longer need prior authorization through our pharmacy as of January 1, 2020 for Medicaid plans.
Our team at Bank’s Apothecary has worked diligently over the past few months to make sure patients are covered without prior authorization – NOW WE CAN SAY THAT THEY ARE.
This means a tremendous decrease in paperwork for our physicians’ offices. You may simply call in prescriptions and we can fill the medications for your instantaneously. NO MORE PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS for Pennsylvania Medicaid Plans. Insurance companies such as Health Partners Plans, Aetna Better Health, United Healthcare and many more will no longer need a prior authorization for psychiatric injections.
Bank’s Apothecary and many stakeholders have worked with insurance companies and the state to get this universal approval for you. As of January 2020 due to the universal preferred drug category change, all LAIs will now be covered for all Medicaid plans without prior authorization.
